Arizona Residential Landlord and Tenant Act

The Arizona Residential Landlord and Tenant Act was enacted to govern the rental of dwelling units and the rights and obligations of landlord and tenant. Topics covered within the act include general terms and conditions of rental agreements, prohibited provisions, landlord and tenant remedies, eviction procedures, and more.

Tucson City Attorney's Office

The Tucson City Attorney's Office deals specifically with landlord tenant issues. Income restrictions apply, and priority will be given to tenants who have received written notice from their landlord and to tenants who are at risk of losing Section 8 benefits. Southwest Fair Housing Council  

The Southwest Fair Housing Council (SWFHC) was established to stop housing discrimination and to help those who have experienced it stand up for their rights. If you think you may be experiencing housing discrimination, report your experience. SWFHC cannot provide legal advice or help with landlord-tenant issues, such as deposit returns, maintenance requests, code violations, pending evictions, or lease breaks.

Southern Arizona Legal Aid

Southern Arizona Legal Aid provides free legal aid services to low income individuals and families in southern and southeastern Arizona, including 11 of Arizona's Native American tribes. They can assist tenants with evictions from subsidized or private housing, substandard housing conditions, lockout cases, and utility shut offs. Apply for legal aid services.
